We all screw up. We tend to wield social media to post the best of the best of our own lives (the fairy tale), while leaving it up to others to point out our flaws (should we have been silly enough to show weakness on social media). Might be a cynical outlook, however I can honestly recognise this myself to some degree. I didn’t post (but could have posted); “Boy, really screwed up THAT Mother’s Day!” I’ll tend not to post anything instead.
However we all screw up. Bruce Lee said; “Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them,” – I agree. Whoever you are, put your hand up and say; “My bad,” where needed. Own your screw up. Learn from it. Grow from it. Ignoring is bad – in some instances people can create such a strong self-image of themselves that they become incapable of seeing their own issues – they’re the most frustrating. We’ve all met one or two of them before. Don’t be like them 😉
We learn from failure, not success. Own your screw ups; we’re all human.
