To me, the Matrix scene where Morpheus offers Neo the choice of either the red or blue pill is the perfect metaphor as to what I encounter nearly everyday.
Let me explain a little. Morpheus is offering Neo the choice to see things how the really are, to wake up – or to carry on knowing there could be more, however preferring to be ignorant to it. To me, investing in myself to learn about body language and all that went with it truly opened my eyes – I could never go back – and I struggle to understand those that aren;t interested in seeing what’s been around them their entire lives.
I’m no Morpheus – or Neo – however as a favourite movie of mine (and with the announcement of Matrix 4!) I thought it would make a good example.
