Main Objective of an Investigator

Private_Investigator1Parents are investigators with their children. Peers are investigators with each other. Employers are investigators with employees. Recruiters are investigators with applicants. Consumers are investigators with salespeople, just as salespeople are investigators with consumers. Just because the subject of the investigation is not criminal in nature does not make it any less important and any less of an investigation.

The main objective of an investigator is to obtain information and evidence in search of the truth, and witnesses and victims are a major source of this information. Memory is however not perfect; memory can be extremely subjective with many areas where inaccurate information can appear genuine to the interviewee. This must be kept in mind when there is suspicion that a subject’s story is not accurate. They may or may not be lying.
