As FACS code I’ve got 5B+6+12C+25+27 which, if you break it down shows a perfect blend of astonished or amazed Surprise (5B+25+27) and genuine Happiness (6+12C)

  2. SDL says:

Great observations Luca – and pretty close! It’s always harder without a baseline image of course, however from what can be observed, I’d suggest 1+2+5+6+12+25+26. Adding the intensities (A = slight through to E = extreme), 1B+2B+5E+6C+12B+25E+26E. Elation, excited wonder, disbelief, hence elements of surprise.

Thanks Stu, well I thought the eyebrows were a bit wide up but because there are absolutely no wrinkles on her forehead I just assumed that that’s the way her eyebrows normally look like… But thanks for the full FACS code, this helps me a lot as I’m now just starting to learn and use FACS for the first time so I’m not that used to it yet 🙂
